SCOA needs your help!

Peter Cogill has been doing a great job as class Treasurer and Membership Secretary but it's now over a year since he said he would like to step down from these roles. Therefore it's only fair that we let him escape at this year's AGM!

It has worked well combining the two jobs but really it would be good for the class if we could find two new people to take the roles on separately. That way we would increase the number of committee members that we have. 

Our rules say the committee shall have 8 members but at present we only have 7 and so, with Peter stepping down, we have two vacancies.

We only rarely have committee meetings where we meet face to face. Most of the correspondence is done by email. Therefore, to play a part, you don't have to be an active sailor on the circuit, just someone who has a computer and a love of the class!

Our Membership Database means that keeping the records up to date is straightforward for the Membership Secretary who can then concentrate on answering queries from people thinking of joining. These days most queries come via email.

The Treasurer's role includes keeping records of income and expenditure and producing an annual report.
