P&B and Sail Register sail winners announced

To round off the 2016 Paddle Series the draws were made at the final events to see who the lucky winners of the prize sails are this year.

In the South, the P&B sail was won by Chris Abela of West Oxfordshire SC. He finished 7th overall in the Southern Paddle series, having competed in 11 races at 4 open meetings during the course of the season.

The more races you compete in, the more tickets are allocated to you (if you're a SCOA member) in the end of season draw and so the greater your chances are of winning the prize sail.

There again, you could just be naturally lucky - and maybe John Southall fits that bill! He won the Sail Register sail in the Northern Paddle draw having only sailed 3 races, all in the open meeting at Yeadon, his own club!
